Surroundings don't govern the state of my heart.
No windows control the display of my art.
My life has been purchased to follow His will,
To stand in the gap He commands me to fill.

Each day where I wake is the place I've been sent.
A temple of service can thrive in a tent.
Ambitious though content.
I wait His return to make straight what is bent.
Until then my treasure is here to be spent.
Ambitious though content.

The drive to proclaim the return of the King
Continues 'til God draws me under His wing.
I press toward the mark of God's high calling plan
Whose River runs deeper than I understand.

At times I'm a fool my desires can torment.
But God gives me grace and the space to repent.
Ambitious though content.
God's plan for my life's not some karma lament.
God partners with people who give their consent.
Ambitious though content.

Don't fall for the lies that cry all drive is greed.
Don't buy the disguise that paints lust as a need.
One ditch holds the wolves who attack the lost sheep.
The other ensnares each Narcissus in sleep.

I can stand.
I can run.
I can fight
Anyone
Or turn the other cheek.
Meek isn't weak.

The keys Jesus holds are possessed with intent.
Our dreams cannot grasp His full Kingdom's extent.
Ambitious though content.
