As I look upon this Earth,
While I gaze into your life,
Then I see inside your pain
To the fear you can't explain
When you open to the light.
Know you are worth
All My love contains -
Your part in My domain.
I spun each star for you,
Spread out the sky -
So you could choose
Who you'd glorify.
Was it an accident,
The cosmos and the sea?
Or are you confident
It came from Me?
As I look upon this Earth,
While I gaze into your life,
Then I see inside your pain
To the fear you can't explain
When you open to the light.
You stand before the choice
But cannot conceive
The pain in My voice
As I watch and grieve
At the swords that pierce through
All you thought to believe.
Heaven stands before you
In a face you don't perceive.
As I look upon this Earth,
While I gaze into your life,
Then I see inside your pain
To the fear you can't explain
When you open to the light.
All has been prepared -
For your life I even died.
To offer you My joy
I was gladly crucified.
But you go your own way,
Don't see My outstretched hand.
Heaven's gate stands open
But you're blind to the Promised Land.
As I look upon this Earth,
While I gaze into your life,
Then I see inside your pain
To the fear you can't explain
When you open to the light.
Some will never come to Me,
Never touch the Promised Land.
Some will never come.
But you can.
You can.
