Morning
© 1999, Roy Stucky

Morning light
And much is right with the world.
No simple minded prattle this
Tossed into the sparkling air.
No dreamy eyed thinking that
There's no one crushed with care.

No.

Violet rose,
Color of the dawn.
The businessman stifles a yawn
On the road he chose.

Morning light
And much is right with the world.

No simple minded prattle this
Tossed into the sparkling air.
No dreamy eyed thinking that
There's no one crushed with care.

No.

The purpose clears despite
The souls men can't unite
Without recourse to prayer.

Hear,
All of Life is singing
Of the way now long prepared.

Hear,
This long road is bringing
Such joy it must be shared.
