Pearl Smoke |

Moonlight fog like pearl smoke has wrapped around my window,
Leaving me twice locked beneath my armor plated shell.
Luster waves I swim within are split by rigid shadows,
Signpost men with flashing eyes like gulls seen down a well.
Cultured strings in shattered strands arise to drift behind me,
Broken up by primal reefs that hide inside the spray.
Slowing down I run aground and ripple from the blind sea,
Looking back without a track to show I passed this way.
