Personal God is about personal responsibility as well as the real Being myth lovers reject.

Freud says your problems were are the fault of others when you were young. Astrologers blame the stars. Scientism says you are caused to be the way you are. Relativists say you have no problems. Zen says problem itself is an illusion. Minsky says you do not have a self anyway, or even a mind. They all blame someone or something other than you.

Christianity says to stand up and face yourself without the veil of excuses. You are responsible. People moan about guilt, but guilt is only possible where there is freedom, and thus responsibility. We say children are not responsible because they are not sufficiently mature to fully exercise their freewill. These excuse driven ideologies wish to prevent us from ever being adults.

I find it refreshing to throw off the excuses of the world and face an existence of responsibility - with forgiveness. Responsibility alone (ties to "This Stolen Vision") is too much for my frame of dust. My only dignity is to stand erect and face the punishment I deserve for failing my responsibility. Forgiveness is what makes this responsibility endurable.
